Definition of Normal by Ellen Goodman-
’’Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it. ’’

okay ~uh~, finally, i understand. i do visit mostly for the incredible art. i think it’s cultural differences that leave me in the dark with the cartoons. good one today, i understand it at least. i did some reading on mumbai as i knew little about it to be honest. I didn’t know it is the wettest place in India and of your terrible monsoons!! my question: why can’t they predict one better? i read where they expected it and then didn’t come for three days. thanks for a good blog. later.
…………………………………….
~uh~: I must apologize for being unfriendly towards my readers from the other part of the globe. To be honest, I never thought anyone from that part would read my blog ( for that matter i never thought ANYONE would). Thanks for being a regular visitor. Next time onward i will try to be as informative as possible, but the success (fun) of minimalistic cartoons depend, mainly of the interpretations by the viewer.
Regarding Mumbai Rains I have uploaded this video on You tube which would help you understand the scene.
‘why can’t they predict one better? i read where they expected it and then didn’t come for three days. ‘
Well, this time the monsoon was predicted to be delayed, fortunately not for very long. But the water logging problem has more to do with infrastructure than prediction.

OMG! yes i see what you mean, i just watched it before my visit to your site here. i left a comment on youtube but you already answered it here. “infrastructure” issues. i loved seeing your culture through your eyes. that cute little boy at the end, ~your son?
……………..
~uh~: Thanks for seeing the videos. You comments encouraged me to upload some more videos which I have been planning for sometime. Yes, the boys featured are my sons
ps please come to my site and sign the guestbook. it’s a new feature. (i hope it comes through for you)

~uh~: Bad luck Lynn, firewalled
sorry, i hope it’s okay, i posted your video to my blog. i just loved the music and the food.
……………
~uh~: Thanks for sharing the video. If you are that interested in India read this post of mine
I have many videos, will upload them gradually.
Ha ha …
How is it in kolkata during monsoons ??
………………….
~uh~: Aaah. Every rainy day is a holiday
this one can compete with R.K. Laxman
………….
~uh~: Well, am honoured, but he’s more like a Guru of the art.
Too good… great one..
State of office-goers in Mumbai during monsoon very well captured…
……………………….
~uh~: It took me 3 hours today ( 26/6), not a bad start.
Haahaahaaa… Good one!!!

good stuff uh!
and wish ya luck for this monsoon! from what i hear, today looks like a tough day in Mumbai?!
……………….
~uh~: Thanks, I need it lots. The first day of monsoon with a 4 mtr hightide took the city for a ride. In the morning santacruz flyover was closed due to an accident which took me 3 hrs to reach lower parel
for a change i want it to rain badly, the way you have depicted. The way rains have subdued this year is not good for us
………….
~uh~: Let’s exchange our houses and offices and see how you enjoy
Your toons reminds me of Mario Miranda’s toons. Too good to ignore
…………………….
~uh~: That was a helluva compliment, dude.
Let me upload a cartoon I drew long back, actually influenced by Miranda. Thanks for reminding sweet memories
