Most photographs happen to be priceless, as they freeze the moment of the past the be cherished again and again in future. There are some pictures which happens once in a lifetime. While browsing through my collections, I picked two of such. I thought of sharing them, which I treat as very special. Both the photographs were results of an extremely fast reflex action, to capture the rarest of rare frame, that happened incidentally and was probably available for 1/10th of a second, just enough time to press the shutter once ! Had I delayed even for a millisecond, the precious moment would have been lost in oblivion and the picture wouldn’t have been the same.

These two pictures make me feel like Clint Eastwood. If he was fast with guns, and I with my camera !

speed

Frozen Speed

A car passing on the opposite direction in high speed, a plane taking off over a goods vehicle on the service lane , near Bangalore Airport. I actually wanted to capture just the pick-up truck with the plane on top of it, but just when i pressed the shutter this car came and blocked the view ! However, the result was more exciting than expected. The Transparency generated from the high speed and the framing of the pick-up within the window of the speeding car is one in a milllion kinda composition !

pegions

Birds of same feather

Pigeons disrupted by the sound of a phatphati starting outside Jaisalmer Fort, Rajasthan. It was all silent and peaceful when the auto-riskshaw engine started and the loud noise forced hundred of pegions nested in the nooks and crevices of the golden fortress. Within seconds the pigeons were settled and the sky was clear. This was the first time I was able to capture so many birds flying, in one frame.

A black & white version

Both the pictures were taken with Nikon Coolpix 7.1 MP.
